Gaylen is an associate at Gibson & Barnes LLP.
Gaylen joined the firm in 2016, after articling with the Ministry of Labour, Legal Services Branch. Over the course of her articles, Gaylen gained extensive experience with occupational health and safety law in Ontario, as well as with other key issues facing the construction industry. Gaylen also successfully completed a secondment at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where she enjoyed working closely with Vice-Chairs and observing the decision-making process first-hand.
Gaylen completed her J.D. at Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where she received the David Sabbath Award for Constitutional Labour Law. As a law student, Gaylen was an active member of Pro Bono Students of Canada and served on the editorial board of an international literary journal. Prior to law school, Gaylen completed a B.A. (Hons.) in English and Political Studies at Queen’s University.
In her spare time, Gaylen enjoys learning more about her city and the world through reading and travelling.
