 ASSOCIATE POSITION - February 6, 2018   

Our firm is looking for an Associate to join us in our work.

We practice union-side labour law with a particular focus on the construction industry.  Our offices are in downtown Toronto.

We are particularly interested in candidates with proven experience in labour litigation who have appeared and enjoy appearing before the Ontario Labour Relations Board and private arbitrators and other tribunals.  Employment law experience is an asset but not a requirement.

Our firm and its partners are Lexpert ranked as repeatedly recommended in the Labour Relations-Construction Sector.  

We are looking for another person to join our group to work with us on applications for certification, grievance referrals, jurisdictional disputes, unfair labour practice complaints and similar labour issues.  

This is a full time permanent position with excellent benefits and a competitive salary that is appropriate to the experience level of the successful applicant.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST - February 6, 2018

Our firm is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant/Receptionist  to join our team. The ideal candidate is expected to have 0-3 years experience. This is full time permanent position with excellent benefits and competitive salary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to two partners and two to three associates with other members of support team
  • Front of House Reception Duties
  • Filing of documents as needed
  • Client correspondence as needed
  • Preparing and delivering documents for clients
  • Assisting in drafting and coordinating documents as required
  • All other administrative duties as needed

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • 0-3 years' relevant experience
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary legal administrative program or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PC LAW
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team player with a professional manner and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
